WHAT WE DO

MISSION
To Provide Socio Legal Services through the creation of equal platforms for integration and rehabilitation of children in contact with the law.

VISION
Equitable social and Legal Justice for Children in Zimbabwe

To ensure that we just do not just increase our reach only, CATCH pledges to provide a quality service to our clients at all times. In response to this, CATCH employs a range of practices aimed at ensuring that children are not just reached with a service, but ensuring that these services are meeting basic standards of quality. These practices are based on the Promising Quality Framework, developed locally for measuring quality of service delivery across a range of child and social protection services that are supported by government. This framework has three key questions and four key tools which are used to determine if a quality service is being delivered, and to continue to inform programme strategy and design

BACKGROUND
CATCH is a local private voluntary organisation that provides legal assistance to children in contact with the law. Unlike other legal assistance NGOs, CATCHs approach is based on social welfare models of case management and from the outset, all child clients are assigned a legal officer and a social work officer.

CURRENT PROJECTS

CATCH is concurrently implementing two projects, that is, one which focuses on providing access to justice for juvenile offenders and the other one focuses on assisting adolescent victims/survivors of Gender based violence.

The Directory of NGOs in Africa is a growing directory of (all) non-profit and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and emerging organisations in Africa. The listed information consists of the organisations contact information, its aims, current projects - activities, photo gallery, volunteering opportunities etc. Further, it features information that help donors have a peace of mind such as organisation registration number, a note to confirm organisations contactability, a link to an organisations financial auditor etc. The main aim of the directory (print and online) is to make information on NGOs in Africa readily available to businesses that want to be involved in Africa, donors, volunteers and ordinary people who want tomake a difference in Africa. We believe anyone and everyone can make a difference.
